Gajar ka Halwa Recipe

  1. To make gajar halwa, first wash and grate the carrots.
  2. Put ghee in a pan and let it heat on the gas. When ghee is hot, add grated carrots to it.
  3. Fry the carrots in ghee for 5 minutes, now add milk and mix it well.
  4. Allow the milk to cook on a medium flame until it thickens.
  5. Keep stirring it occasionally.
  6. It may take 15 to 20 minutes for the milk to thicken.
  7. When milk is thick, add mawa and sugar to it.
  8. When sugar is added to the pan, the sugar will start to melt. Keep stirring it with the help of a spoon.
  9. Let it cook until the sugar is completely melted.
  10. When the halwa becomes thick, add cashews, almonds and cardamom powder to it and turn off the gas.
  11. Hot gajar halwa is ready. Put it in a bowl and garnish with pistachios. Serve hot Gajar Halwa to everyone.
